Spider-Man 2099 Costume
Channel the futuristic, intense leader of the Spider-Society, Miguel O'Hara.
Spider-Man 2099, also known as Miguel O'Hara, is a fan-favorite futuristic wall-crawler who leads the Spider-Society in Across the Spider-Verse. Unlike Peter Parker's classic red-and-blue, Miguel's look is defined by a dark blue-toned bodysuit with striking, aggressive red neon-like spider markings and forearm spikes. This costume is a massive hit for conventions and Halloween due to its sharp, athletic, and imposing silhouette.

Spider-Man 2099 Zentai Jumpsuit
A form-fitting, two-way stretch spandex bodysuit featuring a dark navy blue base with a large, stylized red skull-like spider emblem on the chest.
DIY: Use a dark blue compression shirt and leggings, then paint the red skull-spider emblem and geometric red lines using red fabric paint.
Matching Spandex Mask
A full-head fabric mask matching the suit's dark blue color, featuring red geometric eye outlines with white mesh lenses for visibility.
DIY: Modify a blue morph mask by painting the red eye frames and sewing in white mesh fabric over cut-out eye holes.
Forearm Spikes
Two sets of red, curved arm blades or spikes attached to the outer forearms.
DIY: Cut the spikes out of red EVA foam and attach them to the forearms of the suit using fabric glue or velcro.
Web Cape
A tattered, translucent red web-like cape attached to the back of the shoulders, mimicking his futuristic glider webbing.
DIY: Cut a piece of red tattered mesh or organza fabric into a jagged cape shape and safety-pin it to the shoulders of the suit.
Invisible Foot Pads or Kung Fu Shoes
Thin, flexible black or blue slip-on shoes worn inside or integrated into the feet of the zentai suit for outdoor protection.
DIY: Glue flexible rubber shoe soles directly to the bottom of the zentai suit's feet using heavy-duty contact cement.

How to put it together
- 1
Put on any undergarments, such as a seamless compression shirt and athletic shorts, to ensure a smooth silhouette under the spandex.
- 2
Slip into the lower half of the Spider-Man 2099 zentai suit, carefully pulling the spandex up over your legs and hips.
- 3
Insert your feet into your flat slip-on shoes if you are wearing them inside the suit, or step into the integrated foot pads.
- 4
Pull the sleeves over your arms, ensuring the red forearm spikes are aligned on the outer sides of your forearms.
- 5
Pull the torso of the suit up, slide your arms through, and have a friend help zip up the back zipper if it is not a front-zip style.
- 6
Attach the red translucent web cape to the shoulder area of the suit using the integrated snaps or small safety pins.
- 7
Pull the matching fabric mask over your head, aligning the mesh eye holes with your eyes for maximum visibility.
Makeup & hair
If you plan to take the mask off, style your hair in a sharp, swept-back dark brown look. You can apply light contouring to your jawline to mimic Miguel O'Hara's intense, sharp-featured animated appearance.

- Bring a small bottle of water with a straw so you can drink through the mouth mesh of the mask without taking it completely off.
Spider-Man 2099 costume FAQ

- While originally described as black in early comics, it is canonically depicted as a deep, metallic navy blue with vibrant red accents, especially in Across the Spider-Verse.
