How to put it together
- 1
Choose your character: wear the yellow t-shirt and black pants for Wanda, or the white button-down shirt, black tie, and black pants for Cosmo.
- 2
Style your hair using temporary color spray or a wig—bright pink with a front swirl for Wanda, or bright green with a neat side part for Cosmo.
- 3
Place the clear headband with the yellow crown on your head so the crown appears to hover above your hair.
- 4
Slip the elastic straps of the small white fairy wings over your shoulders.
- 5
Carry the yellow star-tipped wand in your hand to complete the magical look.
Makeup & hair
For Wanda, style your hair (or a pink wig) with her signature swooping front curl. For Cosmo, style your hair (or a green wig) in a neat, short side-part. Keep makeup simple and cartoon-accurate with bright, cheerful eyes.
The Fairly OddParents for couples, groups, kids & more
- couples
- One person dresses as Cosmo (green hair, white shirt, black tie) and the other as Wanda (pink hair, yellow shirt).
- group
- Add a third friend dressed as Timmy Turner in a pink t-shirt, pink baseball cap, and blue jeans.
- kids
- Use kid-sized yellow shirts, white wings, and foam crowns for an adorable, lightweight costume.
- Plus size
- Both the yellow tee and white button-down are highly comfortable and easily sourced in all sizes.
- pet
- A small dog can wear a pink or green t-shirt with a tiny yellow foam crown attached to a soft strap.
Tips
- Use a clear plastic headband for the crown to make it look like it is truly floating above your head.
- If using temporary color spray, apply it outdoors and lock it in with hairspray so it doesn't rub off on your costume.
- Keep your hands free at parties by tucking your star wand into your back pocket or waistband when not posing for photos.
Did you know? The Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman originally designed Wanda with blue hair, but changed it to pink because the blue blended in too much with the blue walls of Timmy's bedroom.
