What you need for a Mimikyu costume

Beige or pale yellow hooded poncho or oversized hoodie
A loose-fitting, light-tan, beige, or pale yellow hooded top to serve as the base of the ragdoll body.
DIY: Cut a neck hole in a square piece of beige fleece or flannel fabric and fray the bottom edges.
Black and red fabric paint or markers
Used to draw the crude, scribbled Pikachu face on the hood and the two black eye holes on the chest.
DIY: Use a thick black permanent marker and a red marker instead of paint.
Black gloves
Simple black knit gloves to represent Mimikyu's shadowy claws peeking out.
Brown felt or cardboard (for the tail)
Stiff material cut into a jagged, lightning-bolt shape to mimic Mimikyu's wooden plank tail.

How to put it together

Lay the beige hooded poncho or hoodie flat on a protected work surface.

Using fabric paint or markers, draw Mimikyu's crude Pikachu face on the hood: two scribbled black circle eyes, a wavy black mouth, and two uneven red circles for the cheeks.

Draw two large, solid black circles on the chest area of the poncho to represent the eye holes that the actual Pokémon looks out of.

Cut the bottom hem of the poncho into uneven, jagged points to give it a tattered, handmade ragdoll look.

Cut a jagged lightning-bolt tail shape out of brown felt or painted cardboard, and safety pin or sew it to the lower back of the poncho.
