Indominus Rex Costume
Rule the park as Jurassic World's ultimate genetically modified hybrid dinosaur.
The Indominus Rex is the terrifying, camouflage-capable hybrid dinosaur from Jurassic World. People choose this costume to stand out from standard T-Rex outfits with its distinct white scales, spiked back, and red eyes. The look is most famously achieved using an official inflatable suit, but it can also be built using a detailed jumpsuit and mask.

How to put it together
- 1
If using the inflatable suit, insert fresh AA batteries into the fan pack and clip it to your waistband.
- 2
Step into the legs of the suit, slip your arms into the sleeves, and pull the hood or headpiece over your head.
- 3
Zip the suit completely closed to seal the air inside, then turn on the fan switch to begin inflation.
- 4
Adjust the face opening or viewing panel so you have clear, unobstructed peripheral vision.
- 5
If going the fabric route, put on your white base layers, attach your DIY foam spikes, and don the mask and claw gloves.
- 6
Practice your best low-frequency hybrid dinosaur growl and stomping walk.
Makeup & hair
If wearing the inflatable suit or full mask, no makeup or hair styling is needed. For a maskless DIY look, paint your face with white and grey face paint to mimic scales, and use red cosmetic contacts for the eyes.

Indominus Rex costume FAQ
- How does the inflatable Indominus Rex costume stay inflated?
