How to put it together
- 1
If using the inflatable costume, insert 4 AA batteries into the fan pack and step into the legs of the suit.
- 2
Pull the inflatable suit up, slip your arms through the sleeves, and secure the elastic bands at your wrists and ankles to trap the air.
- 3
Turn on the fan switch to begin inflating the suit, then zip it up completely.
- 4
If going the DIY route, put on your matching pink sweatshirt and pink sweatpants.
- 5
Attach the black felt 'coin slot' to the upper back of your pink sweatshirt and the cork circle to your lower stomach.
- 6
Put on the plush pig ears headband and position the elastic pig snout over your nose.
- 7
Wear comfortable pink or white sneakers to complete the look.
Makeup & hair
Keep hair simple and tucked back under the headband or hood. For makeup, apply a touch of pink blush to your cheeks and nose to enhance the cartoon pig aesthetic.

Hamm costume FAQ
- What is Hamm from Toy Story made of?
- In the movies, Hamm is a plastic piggy bank. For a costume, you can replicate this look using a shiny pink inflatable suit or soft pink fleece fabrics.
- How does the inflatable Hamm costume stay inflated?
- It features a small, battery-operated fan that clips to your belt or pocket. It runs continuously on 4 AA batteries to keep the suit puffed up.
- Can I sit down in the inflatable Hamm costume?
- Yes, but you must sit carefully to avoid blocking the fan intake or putting too much pressure on the seams. The air will temporarily displace but reinflate once you stand.
Did you know? Hamm is voiced by Pixar staple John Ratzenberger, who has voiced a character in almost every major Pixar feature film.
