How to put it together
- 1
Put on the khaki flight suit and zip it up, leaving the collar slightly open for a relaxed, blue-collar look.
- 2
Iron or sew the 'No-Ghost' patch onto the upper right sleeve of the flight suit.
- 3
Attach your chosen nametag patch to the left chest area, directly above the pocket.
- 4
Slide the grey elbow pads up your forearms so they sit comfortably over your elbows.
- 5
Fasten the black utility belt around your waist, adjusting it to sit snugly over the jumpsuit.
- 6
Lace up your black combat boots, tucking the bottom cuffs of the flight suit into the tops of the boots.
- 7
Strap on the Proton Pack, adjust the shoulder straps for a secure fit, and hold the particle thrower wand.
Makeup & hair
Keep hair practical and slightly messy, as if you have just survived a slime attack. No heavy makeup is required, but a few smudges of dark grey eyeshadow on your cheeks can mimic soot and grime from a fresh ghost battle.

Ghostbuster costume FAQ
- What color are the original Ghostbusters suits?
- The original uniforms from the 1984 film are khaki/tan. While they can sometimes appear slightly grey on screen due to lighting and film stock, they are officially khaki military-style flight suits.
- How do you make a cheap DIY Proton Pack?
- You can build a budget-friendly pack using a cardboard shoe box as the base. Spray-paint it matte black, glue on plastic bottle caps, soda cans, and colorful electrical wires, then attach a painted cardboard tube as the wand.
- Which arm does the Ghostbusters patch go on?
- The iconic 'No-Ghost' logo patch is worn on the upper right sleeve of the flight suit, while the nametag is worn on the left chest.
Did you know? The original movie uniforms were actual military-issue CWU-27/P flight suits, chosen to give the characters the practical, blue-collar look of everyday exterminators or janitors.
