What you need for a Tractor costume

Cardboard box
A rectangular box large enough to fit around the wearer's torso with room to walk.
DIY: Recycle a large diaper box or delivery box.
Green acrylic paint
Bright green non-toxic paint to cover the cardboard tractor body.
DIY: Cover the box in green wrapping paper or green plastic tablecloths.
Paper plates
Four large black paper plates and four smaller yellow paper plates to construct the wheels.
DIY: Cut circles out of leftover cardboard and paint them black and yellow.
Yellow duct tape

Webbing straps

How to put it together

Cut the top and bottom flaps completely off the cardboard box so it forms an open rectangular sleeve.

Paint the entire outer surface of the box with bright green paint and let it dry completely.

Glue the smaller yellow paper plates onto the center of the larger black paper plates to create four wheels.

Attach the completed wheels to the lower sides of the green box using strong glue or brad fasteners.

Apply strips of yellow duct tape to the front of the box to represent the front grill and two circular headlights.

Measure and cut two equal lengths of webbing strap, then securely tape or staple them inside the front and back of the box so they cross over the shoulders in an 'X' shape.

Dress the wearer in the flannel shirt, overalls, and straw hat, then carefully lower the tractor box over their head so the straps rest on their shoulders.
