What you need for a Light Bulb costume

A pear-shaped fabric tunic made of felt or foam to mimic the classic rounded shape of an incandescent bulb.
DIY: Cut two large pear shapes out of yellow poster board or felt, sew or glue the sides, and leave openings for your head and arms.
Silver metallic collar or headband
A textured silver fabric collar or a headband shaped like a screw-thread metal bulb base.
DIY: Wrap a strip of cardboard in aluminum foil, scoring horizontal ridges into it to mimic a screw thread, and wear it as a collar or crown.
Black or yellow base layers
A solid black long-sleeve shirt and matching leggings or pants to make the colorful bulb shape pop.
DIY: Use any solid black or bright yellow clothing already in your closet.

How to put it together
