Red long-sleeve shirt and pants
A matching set of bright red sweatpants and a long-sleeve t-shirt to serve as the base chassis.

Cardboard box truck body
A medium-sized cardboard box painted bright red, cut to fit around the waist with shoulder straps.
DIY: Upcycle a delivery box, cut out the bottom, paint it red, and add yellow and blue paper plates for headlights.
Flame decals
Bright yellow and orange flame shapes applied to the sides of the red box or shirt.

Black paper plate wheels

How to put it together

Put on the solid red long-sleeve shirt and matching red pants.

Prepare the cardboard box by cutting open the top and bottom so it can slide over the wearer's torso.

Paint the entire exterior of the box bright red and let it dry completely.

Glue the four black paper plates to the lower corners of the box to serve as the monster truck wheels.

Attach the yellow and orange flame decals to the left and right sides of the red box.

Secure two thick black ribbons or suspender straps to the inside of the box so it can hang comfortably from the shoulders.

Put on the blue helmet or cap to complete the high-octane racer look.
